During our initial four years, we have worked with orphans, street children, local communities, and caregivers, gaining insights into their needs. It became clear that there are more children in need than there is assistance available. While we made efforts between 2019 and 2023 by donating food, baby supplies, toys, and clothing to these children, we realised that this only offered temporary relief. We aimed for more significant, long-term solutions and thus reevaluated our strategies and goals.

Our discussions led us to the decision to construct the Light Up Home—a sanctuary for orphans and street children in the DRC Congo. This facility will provide a nurturing environment where children can be cared for, fed, clothed, and encouraged to grow and thrive safely. Every child has the right to life, and we believe that life cannot be fully experienced without daily necessities. Thus, we are committed to offering these essentials consistently.
