Working With Homes In DRC Congo
From 2019 to 2022, we worked with three homes in the DRC Congo that house orphans and street children. During this time, we provided food, beds, clothing, toys, and hygiene products to all these homes.
Bienheureuse Orphanage
We have been working with Bienheureuse since 2019 and have visited and donated four times—once each in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. Over the years, we developed a close relationship with the orphanage, gaining insights into the challenges children face and witnessing the impact of our donations. We take pride in supporting the children and the home consistently.
Home 2
In 2022, we extended our support to a second home that houses street children. This home has been operating since the 1990s and has served as a safe refuge for many street children. Our interaction revealed that the home frequently reaches full capacity due to the rising number of street children in the DRC Congo. Many children were unable to attend school due to financial constraints.
Orphelinat COC
This home accommodates the most children under one roof, caring for 60 children. During our visit, we learned about the home’s history and daily operations. We met children of various ages, all attending school. It was an honour to witness firsthand the challenges of caring for such a large number of children and to contribute to their well-being.
